Samagri you'll need

  • Durga idol/photo & kalasha
  • Kumkuma, red flowers
  • Lamp, dhupa
  • Naivedya (chitranna, payasa)

Step by step

  1. 1

    Sankalpa & kalasha

    Purify and invoke Durga into the kalasha/idol.

  2. 2

    Shodashopachara & kumkumarchana

    Worship with sixteen upacharas and kumkumarchana / Durga ashtottara.

  3. 3

    Devi Mahatmya / Lalitha parayana

    Recite the Devi stotras or arrange a group parayana.

  4. 4

    Naivedya & aarti

    Offer naivedya and mangalarati.

Note: During Navaratri, Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati are worshipped over the nine nights.
