What is a group parayana?
A parayana is the devotional recitation of a sacred text. In a group parayana, a set of trained vaidikas chant the full text together — at a temple or in your home — creating a powerful, uninterrupted flow of sound and sankalpa for your family.
Can the parayana be done at my home?
Yes. The group of chanters can come to your home for a house parayana, or perform it at a temple in your family's name and gotra. You choose what suits the occasion.
How many chanters come, and how long does it take?
Group size and duration depend on the text — from a single Vishnu Sahasranama in under an hour to a full Devi Mahatmya or a multi-day parayana. We plan the number of vaidikas and timing with you when you book.
For which occasions is a parayana done?
Parayanas are performed for health and longevity (ayushya), prosperity, protection, birthdays and anniversaries, house blessings, memorial observances (shraddha), and during Navaratri and other festivals.
Do you provide the samagri and the texts?
Yes. The chanters bring the texts, and samagri for any accompanying pooja can be arranged — brought by the team or listed for you in advance, exactly as you prefer.
Can we request the parayana in a specific tradition?
Yes — Smartha, Madhwa, Srivaishnava or your community's paddhati. Tell us your tradition and we bring vaidikas who chant it that way.
